Ilinca is a multidisciplinary artist whose work is inspired by dreams, intense emotional experiences, and an enduring fascination with the hidden dimensions of the psyche. The creative process is deeply cerebral and intuitive, by accessing her personal symbolism through mythology and her lifelong studies of ancient knowledge (astrology, philosophy, mystical cosmology, occultism). Through fine-line illustration and acrylic painting she channels her experiences with isolation, internal and external chaos, otherworldly idealization, and infernal decay. Although every piece holds its own meaning, together they constitute an ongoing narrative and universe that reflect the chaos and insatiable need for cognition; as within, so without; which unfolds as a highly personal reflection on memory, transformation, and the unseen forces that inhabit her inner world.
